We Are Now ALPS

On October 22, 2025, Alps Blockchain officially announced its corporate rebranding to ALPS - a milestone that marks not just a change of name, but a fundamental evolution in how the company defines itself and its place in the global infrastructure landscape.

The name Alps Blockchain was born in 2018 in Trento, when two 19 and 20-year-old founders set out to prove that Bitcoin mining could be done differently - powered by clean energy, co-located with underutilised hydroelectric plants, and run with industrial discipline. That thesis was right. Over seven years, it built a company operating across five continents and managing more than 250 MW of installed capacity with an energy efficiency of 15.4 J/TH, among the best in the world.

But the company has outgrown its original label. Today ALPS is not just a blockchain company. It is a vertically integrated infrastructure company - one that designs, builds, and operates advanced data centres from the ground up, converting energy into computation at industrial scale. The "Blockchain" in the name no longer reflects the full scope of what we do, and more importantly, what we are building toward.

"We are no longer only a blockchain company - we are an infrastructure company," said Francesco Buffa, CEO and Co-Founder. "We design, build, and operate high-efficiency data centers from the ground up, turning energy into the computational power that fuels the digital economy."

The infrastructure ALPS has built - modular, energy-efficient, scalable - is by design not limited to a single workload. As the digital economy continues to evolve, so does the range of applications that high-density compute infrastructure can serve. ALPS is building with that horizon in mind.

"From a financial perspective, producing computational power for the Bitcoin network has always provided - and continues to provide - a constant and unprecedented cash flow in the digital infrastructure industry," added Francesca Failoni, CFO and Co-Founder. "This solid foundation allows us to plan with a long-term view and to strategically integrate new applications such as AI computing within our existing infrastructure."

The rebrand is a signal, not a pivot. Bitcoin mining remains the core of ALPS's operations and the engine of its cash flow. The infrastructure and energy contracts already in place are designed to scale to 15 EH/s - roughly 1.5% of the global Bitcoin hash rate.

What has changed is the name on the door, and the clarity of purpose it conveys. ALPS is building the infrastructure layer that the digital economy runs on - from Bitcoin today to AI tomorrow. The foundation is laid. The ambition is clear.

Welcome to ALPS.
